Stephen Hutchings was invited as the external speaker on a specially convened panel discussion entitled ‘Unpacking Russian disinformation and propaganda on Ukraine’ hosted by the PRIO (Peace Research Institute, Oslo) think tank in Oslo, Norway, on June 5, 2026. He addressed issues relating to Russian Ukraine war propaganda efforts aimed at foreign audiences and answered questions from an audience of over 120 people who attended the discussion in person or online. Other speakers included Pavel Baev, Research Professor, PRIO and Arina Kosareva, Research Assistant, PRIO. The discussion was chaired by Nicholas March, Senior Researcher, PRIO.
