Introducing the New Open Access Journal Disinformation: An Interdisciplinary Journal

We are pleased to share the launch of Disinformation: An Interdisciplinary Journal, a new interdisciplinary journal published by SAGE and now accepting submissions. Among the journal’s editorial board members is our project PI, Professor Stephen Hutchings, alongside Professor Peter Knight, also of the University of Manchester and one of our close collaborators.

The journal provides a dedicated forum for interdisciplinary research on disinformation and related forms of information disorder. It welcomes scholarship examining how disinformation is produced, circulated, interpreted, contested and transformed across different media, societies, languages and political contexts.

The journal is fully open access with no Article Processing Charges (APCs), making published research freely accessible to researchers and wider audiences. Researchers working across fields including disinformation studies, misinformation, propaganda, political communication, media and communication, digital cultures and related areas are encouraged to explore the journal and consider it as a potential venue for their research.

Submit your research or learn more about the journal: https://journals.sagepub.com/home/DIN.

We would also encourage colleagues and researchers interested in these topics to share the journal with their networks and help build this new interdisciplinary research community.
